Lost: I Think I Was Right!

This is Smokey!!!!!

Anyway, I didn't update on Lost last week because I watched the last two eppys together.

So, I'll briefly comment of both. Briefly, because I'm really tired, not because I have nothing to say.

EPPY 8

Remember how I've been complaining of Sawyer starvation and how I was about to die? Well, episode 8 saved me. YAY!!!
We got to see LOTS of Sawyer. Happy Sawyer, romantic Sawyer, serious Sawyer, shirtless Sawyer, sad Sawyer, shirtless Sawyer, funny Sawyer and shirtless Sawyer.
It was a great episode where Sawyer was a cop in this parallel life!! Yes, a cop. Who would believe it? His partner is Miles.

Not-Locke (a.k.a Smokey) sends Sawyer on a mission, and Sawyer "runs" into Whitmore. Then, we realize that Sawyer trusts Smokey more than Whitmore!! I don't know, but if I could talk to him, I'd say something. I just don't want him to die. But part of me wants him to be on Smokey's side, because that way nothing will happen to him.
Anyway, so Sawyer and Kate reunite again, and I think I can still hope for those two to get together. It was so easy to read their silly faces. . .

Last comment about the eppy is. . . HOW WEIRD IS THAT ANIMAL HEAD INSIDE THE CRIB?
SOOOOOO weird. Beyond weird.
Poor Claire, she belongs in the funny farm now. First, she tries to kill Kate, then she hugs her.... Who gets that girl? I don't.

Let's move on to Episode 9 (I'm terrible at this!!)

EPPY 9

I'd call this episode, "Truths Revealed"
It was so eye-opening.
Many of the questions we had were answered here, but only partially.
We think we know, but we really don't.
The one thing I'm sure of is that Smokey is the devil. Just as I predicted a couple of blog posts ago.

Oh and the girl with the big lips? We don't have to call her names anymore! because we learned that her name is Alana.

Or Balana

Something Anna-ish.

*yawns and zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz*

Earth Hour: What to do?

Date: 27.03.2010
Time: 8:30 - 9:30PM (your time zone)
Where: Planet Earth

In 2007, Australians turned their lights off and started what we call "Earth Hour."
After three years, the entire world has followed (with some sad exceptions) this commendable tradition.
Now, why do we do it? Because our planet needs a break.

And it's only an hour on a Saturday night. There are a million things that you could do to entertain yourself.
Plus, candlelight makes everything more fun. Right? (it also makes it less scary, because the dark is soooo scary)
You just need to get creative, so let me help you with this little list I wrote especially for you. Yes YOU!

LIST

Start by lighting some candles. Then. . .

1. Turn lights off.
2. Unplug all your appliances, chargers, computers, everything!
3. Play an instrument or try to learn how to play one.
4. Play board games or cards with your loved ones.
5. Take a nap.
6. Prepare some yummy earth-friendly snacks. You can find many great recipes online.
7. Invite friends over. Get them out of their house (by doing this, you'll also make sure they observe Earth Hour--it can be your secret agenda, but it will be super fun for all of you!).
8. Gaze at the stars. Go on your rooftop with a blanket or somewhere you can see the stars.
9. Host a yoga session for family and friends
10. Have a family candlelit picnic
11. Read a book
12. Tell scary stories
13. Have a sing-a-long
14. Have a Scavenger Hunt with flashlights look for eco-themed items.
15. Go for a walk, and spy on your neighbors to see if they're also observing Earth Hour.

So there is no need to be bored or sad or scared.
Make the most out of this night, and maybe you will like it so much that you will want to turn everything off more often and enjoy these free activities.

These Two are Creepy to Me

Some movies are meant for adults, some are meant for children.
These two movies claim to be children's films, but they are not.
If I were a child, I'd have nightmares for days. . . Wait, I'm not a child anymore, but I HAD THE NIGHTMARES!!! (you must also know that I was recently sick with Bordetella Pertussis, a bacteria that only attacks children's lungs. Well, the bacteria found ME! O_O LOL)

Number One:

Charlie and The Chocolate Factory: Such a dreamy name.
Charlie sounds like the name of your nicest neighbor.
Chocolate Factory is literally HEAVEN!

But no, this movie is creepy and I regret watching it.
The Oompa Loompas were cool, though.

Number Two:

Coraline:
I first heard the OST. Loved it, very French. Brilliant!
I mean, the film is excellent, just like Charlie and The Chocolate Factory; but it's creepy.
The other mother looked like Victoria Beckham,
and the friend looked like one of the Jonas Brothers (I can't identify them).
The button eyes, the robot/spider hand=Creepy

The author of this book is Neil Gaiman. He also wrote Stardust.
The creator of the movie is the same as A Nightmare Before Christmas, but that one didn't scare me at all, and I was a lot younger when I saw it. Weird.

Now, this picture is really cool.
I wish I had one of these that connects my life with a perfect world.
Srsly, I think this movie does have a message.
The girl was unhappy with her life, and then she was able to find a world where everything is perfect. But guess what, the world was neither perfect nor real.

Be careful with what you wish for!!

Pajamas: When Life Was Good

I really, really, really miss those days when I used to wear pajamas to bed.

Since the earthquake (in the middle of the night), I tend to connect bedtime with rattling windows, shaky bed, and decorations' massive destruction; so I sleep in sweats. Always ready.

Am I talking about the earthquake AGAIN???
OMG, I'm so monothematic, I should be banned from blogging.

Okay, I'll stop now.

(Sudden change of subject)
It would be nice if someone left a comment every once in a while, but you need to have a google account I guess. I never comment on anyone's blog, so I don't know.

Question: Do you like my blog? (Blink once for YES. Blink twice for NO)

Anyway, I was going to talk about when life was good OR the GOOD OL' DAYS!!

In the good old days:
I wore pajamas to bed.
Candy and Terry were together in London
I had Kit Kats hidden in a secret drawer
My dog liked to take naps with me
Chile was never in the news
I was fed by my mom and she made airplane sounds
Not wearing night cream was an option
Bill Kaulitz had a lion mane
It was okay to do cartwheels from my school to my house (it was a 2-minute walk)
I took half-hour showers because I didn't have a conscience
I could quote Becquer and Keats and no one called me "EMO"
I would make necklaces with watermelon seeds
Vampires didn't sparkle
Pluto was a planet. . .

(oh geez, the list is way long, the good old days were way too good)

So that's why every now and then, I wish it was then instead of now.

Do you want to hear something interesting/funny?
We just had a national blackout. YES!!

I was watching an Audrey Hepburn movie when suddenly everything went dark. It was obvious that a mega e********* would follow, but it didn't *relieved sigh*.
The blackout was in 90% of Chile. O_O
I think it was a power station damaged by the E********* in the city of Los Angeles (LA Chile, not LA USA).
We had candles for over an hour and then LIGHT!!! right when I was singing "The sun has frozen, the world has lost its light. . ."

During hard times, singing is good: Miracles happen. Power comes back.

Are We Justifiably Paranoid?

I think so!!

The curious nerd in me gathered this information for you to take a look at the ground where we, Chileans, currently stand. You'll see that we are paranoid with a VERY GOOD reason.
I really admire those who have been calmed through all this. I envy them!! :-) I look calm, but deep within I'm so neurotic. . .

Anything below 5.0 is not on this list. We probably get 5 of those daily.
Anything between 5.0 and 6.0 already gives me a little heart attack.
Anything above 6.0 is in bold letters, because it can cause major destruction, death and all the sad things we Chileans know so well.

This is a report of the seesmic activity in Chile from the day of the mega earthquake on 27.02.2010.
I warn you, this list is ridiculously long.

3 Earthquakes, 9 Temblors, 15 hours

Chile doesn't stop dancing, and I refuse to die in a natural disaster!!!

I really don't have anything dramatic to write about (like "Earthquake 8.8 *whispers* I was in shock and in a very chatty mood), so the title says it all, and you can get to your own conclusions as to how I must have felt, and how I must feel now; and how I feel that I appreciate life a lot more; and how I know what really matters to me, etc.

Voila!

Wow, I should write more post like this one. Make you do all the work.

Upsate: 22 movements now as of 3:58am 12. March. 2010

It's almost 4am. I think I'm scared. I'm afraid to sleep. We've had too many earthquakes today, and tremors haven't been pleasant either.
I feel dizzy!!

Less Lost, but still Lost.

I think that if you're going to read my blog, you'll have to start watching Lost. Well, not only watch it; but you have watch it on the day it airs, because I write spoilers.

Tuesday's eppy was about Benjamin Linus. It was a great story. Very touching.
But I'm still confused about the parallel lives.

Here, he was a history teacher and worked at the same school with John Locke, who is still alive and he's good, not like the evil creature he has become.
On the island, the smoke monster, John Locke-lookalike, is not only super evil, a monster, immortal; but he's also a magician that can set you free when curly-haired, big-lipped ladies trap you.

It's really a shame that I don't know her name and I have to call her names like a mean 6-year old.

Anyway, but I find this big lip lady not as tough as Ana Lucia (who we all like to call Ana Lulu) because she cried (pfffft!!) with a story Linus told her (Linus who killed her father figure, Jacob). Yes, that, but she also needs some tattoos, and maybe an eyebrow or tongue piercing. She also needs to have Kate's arms.

Miles and Hurley (Hugo) talk to dead people.
Miles can talk to graves and ashes, while Hugo sees the deceased. Now, that takes real talent. I think a power like that could help solving so many crimes.
You could ask the dead "How did you die? who killed you?" and so the world would be a much happier place, like the place in Pushing Daisies!!! (Ohhh I miss that show!) where they solved crimes by asking these questions while they ate always delicious-looking pie.
Now, that defines happiness to me.

Hugo sees dead people, but he's not losing weight. I've totally lost hope, after 6 seasons you would think island life would have slimmed him down a bit; BUT NOOOOOOO, he goes on his silly little adventures and finds cars (so he stops walking around), golf courses (lazy sport, requires the use of 3 muscles at the most), and then he manages to find buckets of Ranch dressing and Peanut butter!!! OH PLEEEEASE!!

Now,

On my blog I've never mentioned Richard.
I really like it that he wears eyeliner (Egyptian theme again, See???), so now he finally told us that he's neither vampire nor cyborg. So why is he immortal?

I've also forgotten to talk about Kenny Rodgers. He's so cool. I love that guy! He doesn't harm anyone, helps the good guys, seems to always be in a good mood, wears pilot clothes, and now he shaved his face which makes him look younger, cleaner, and less Kenny Rodger-y.

So, there are 6 "candidates" left:

Kwon (Jin or Jeun)
Sayid
Hugo
Kate
Jack

and

SAWYER!!! (OMG another eppy without Sawyer!! ABC what are you doing to us? My eyes are Sawyer-starved)

Finally, Widmore.
Widmore is there, inside a submarine.
For a second I thought that he could have been the smoke monster; but it's got to be Jack's dad. At this point, do you get the feeling that I might be right?
I hope I'm right.
If I'm right, I'll make cupcakes for all of you.

See ya next week!! (To talk about Lost, of course. Because I'm sure I'll blog before that. You know how much I like to talk, write, whatever)

Lost: I'm soooo Lost

Life goes on. Or "must" go on.
I'm forcing myself to have happy thoughts while the earth rattles under me. (Hahah! I get the feeling that you know where I'm writing from. If not, let me help you: It starts with "CHI" and ends with "LE". . . Good luck guessing!)

Anyway, I watched Lost, Episode 6, the other night. And I'm so Lost!

So, John Locke is definitely dead.
No signs of Sawyer (2 episodes now without him!)

....

Okay, so our Lost friends are all separated right now.

Sawyer is somewhere inside a cave.
John Locke is dead.
Kate is intrigued following the smoke monster/john locke lookalike/all around evil dude
and so is Claire (but Claire is crazy now! and she... aged a million years).
Jack is by the lighthouse with
Hugo!
Sayid is on a killing spree and looks possessed
Charlie, still dead

You know who I also miss? Desmond. Isn't he cool? He's so cool and he has that extremely sexy Scottish accent. Maybe Gerard Butler should take speaking lessons from him. (Oh and I also like his hair and his decisions )

Who else?

Oh, Miles! Miles is with Jeun (who, by the way, has grrrreat skin) and they are with the curly hair lady with big lips.

Jin is in the jungle...

WHAT A MESS!
Aren't you guys feeling sorta misplaced? Because I am big time. I need them together and I need answers to my questions, and I need to know if the smoke monster is really Satan. I think he is. I think I got goosebumps when he told Sayid that he could have anything he wanted on this earth. That sounded SO MUCH like something Satan would say to a lost creature or a LOST creature.

Now, I won't comment on the double lives our friends are living. That's just... LOCO! It's more than Lost, it's LOSTER or something. (They should come up with a word that means to be more than Lost)

But it's my favorite show. My frustrations have nothing to do with the quality of the show. It's all me.

AAAAAALLLLLL ME.

Earthquake 8.8

Santiago, Chile. Saturday 27.02.2010 3:34am

It was a cold night, exceptionally cold for a Summer night. I was uneasy. I was awake and cold. My nephew (7) and niece (4) were over for the weekend.
I got up and put on warmer clothes, and only a couple a minutes later I heard a sound that came from somewhere deep and far. It got louder and louder, then the windows started rattling, and a deafening sound of drums pierced my ears, the earth started shaking. I thought for a second that it was just a temblor, like the ones we get every once in a while.
The noise grew louder snd the earth started jumping. At that moment, I knew it wasn't just a temblor.
I grabbed my niece and ran with her in my arms towards the living room. On my way there, I opened my mom's door, she was already up holding my nephew. I took my little dog with my free arm and ran to the open area of the house.
The walls were swaying, things were falling from the shelves, the chairs were jumping and moving out of place. The power went out and I saw flashing lights from everywhere. Everything looked red, I still don't know why.

It was two minutes that felt like forever.

I was screaming, gasping. I was scared, not only for my life, but for my niece and nephew who were away from their parents and under my responsibility.
I thought the roof was going to fall on us, the walls.
I screamed "Heavenly Father, please make it stop!!"
At this point, I was almost crying.

Then, it got milder and milder until it stopped.

I collapsed on a chair, still holding my niece tightly.
I was breathing again, but my legs were moving on their own. Shaking.

My nephew suddenly said to my mom "Why did you wake me up?"

My niece said "My leg hurts," I probably hurt her while trying to get out of my room.

I was relieved to know that they hadn't grasped what had just happened to us. I quickly opened the door and I saw my neighbors out with flashlights, asking everyone how they were doing.
Yes, I opened the door after the earth stopped shaking because we were locked in and couldn't find the way to open the door. I was happy when the door opened without having to force it open.

After that, it was a neverending night of darkness, fear and aftershocks. The strongest one came around 7:30am with a magnitude of almost 6 (technically, that is not an aftershock, but an earthquake in itself)

During the night, I was informing my mom of everything that I heard on my Ipod radio. Finally the telephone lines were working close to the morning and we were able to talk to my father who was at the beach (yes, and under threat of receiving a Tsunami), and my brother and sister-in-law who were freaking out. We called a couple of aunts, and everyone was alive.

February 27th was the longest day of my life.
It's only been two days since the earthquake, but I still hear the noise in my ears and I still relive the moment of fear and desolation I felt while everything moved around me.

I'm just thankful that everyone I know is alive and healthy. I still need to hear from some family members in the catastrophe area and some friends in Concepcion. I pray that they are alive, and that we know soon that they are okay.

We haven't had aftershocks today!! The strongest one after the earthquake was yesterday, magnitude 6.6 (yes, another earthquake)

This will be over soon. I know.
